Faculty and Staff 2016 Health plan rates

The 2016 health plan rates for faculty and staff are effective January 1 and are based on benefits program and for some, percentage of appointment. If your appointment is 80% or more, your rate is based on your medical plan salary unless you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement or are a benefits-eligible student.

Benefits Program is a term used to identify common benefit eligibility groups. Your eligibility for benefits is based on your job/career family, your appointment percentage, and the duration of your appointment.

Percentage of appointment is the total of all of your regular appointments. To find your appointment detail, login to Wolverine Access, select Employment Information, and then select View Appointment.

Medical plan salary is calculated in the system using a formula that includes the annual salary plus incentive pay. See the Medical Plan Salary document for details.

The rates displayed are based on current data. To confirm your 2016 health plan rates, be sure to login to Self Service > Benefits. If there is change that affects your health plan rates after your enrollment, for example if you change from a full-time appointment to part time, you will receive notice of the new rates.

Be sure to logout of the rate calculator when you have finished viewing your rates.
